The Shadow King's War
Prosperity: Moderate (Most mundane items for sale, some skilled labor)
Population: Growing (More people than buildings)
Defenses: Garrison (100-300 armed defenders, armed patrols at all times)
Ashesh is the first and central bastion of civilization in Lucianna, a rather crowded and busy city that was obviously built without any foreplanning and merely evolved as the population grew. Generally separated into unofficial socioeconomic districts, the guard only maintains the Palace, the Bazaar, and the headquarters/living quarters of the high ranking scriveners as officially zoned areas.
The Palace is located centrally and usually packed with guards and petitioners from the various steadings that Ashesh claims as it’s own.
The Tulwar District is where the combination Headquarters and Grand Library of the Scriveners Guild is located, along with the general residential area restricted to their members. Generally permanent residences are only for the higher ranking scriveners along with flophouses for any visiting members.
The Bazaar operates under a first-come first-serve method of allotting space, it is open from Dawn until Dusk each day with guards patrolling often to keep the peace; Anyone who shows up can claim space to flaunt their wares, with common prices known only with experience and haggling a way of life. The segements are seperated by faintly glowing blue lines on the ground that divide it into a center area with concentric circles (separated with lanes in-between and lanes that seperate the circle into quarters) with four choice spots in the center and more segments as the circles become larger away from the center. Mostly full of Asheshi citizens buying food that’s being shipped in daily from Castonwood, there are usually various necessities, trinkets (some minorly magical) with the most popular being water that has been given a small enchantment to give it a vibrant but flavorless color and foodstuffs that have had their tastes swapped.
No one knows where the Thieves Guild operates from, only that anyone who sells stolen goods in the Bazaar will hear form them.
